Biography
Michelle Paver als Tochter eines Südafrikaners und einer Belgierin 1960 im heutigen Malawi geboren. Später zog die Familie nach England, wo Michelle Paver in Oxford zuerst Biochemie studierte, sich dann aber für eine Karriere als Patentanwältin entschied. Sie arbeitete mehrere Jahre in einer Londoner Anwaltskanzlei, bevor sie sich ein Sabbat-Jahr nahm, um die Welt zu bereisen und ihr erstes Buch zu schreiben. Seitdem lebt und arbeitet sie als freie Schriftstellerin in London. Ihre Kinderbuch-Serie Die Chronik der dunklen Wälder war in Großbritannien ein großer Erfolg, wurde in 36 Länder verkauft und mehrfach mit Preisen ausgezeichnet.
