Biografie (Michel Butor)
Michel Butor, geboren 1926, gilt neben Alain Robbe-Grillet und Nathalie Sarraute als der bedeutendste Repräsentant des nouveau roman. Er lebte mehrere Jahre in Ägypten, Griechenland und England, war Gastprofessor in den USA, Kanada, Japan und Deutschland; ab 1970 unterrichtete er französische Literatur an der Universität in Nizza, seit 1975 lehrt Butor in Genf (emeritiert 1991).
