Studium und Promotion an der Universität Bremen, Habilitation an der Universität Hohenheim; Forschungsaufenthalte und Gastprofessuren u.a. in Brasília, Göteborg, Nizza Sophia Antipolis, Saint-Etienne, Trento, Wien (IHS) und Wuhan; zahlreiche Publikationen in internationalen Fachzeitschriften.
