Biography (Kevin Crossley-Holland)

Kevin Crossley-Holland wurde 1941 geboren. Er studierte Literatur in Oxford und entdeckte dabei seine Leidenschaft für die Welt der Mythen und Legenden. Seine Bücher für Jugendliche und Erwachsene wurden in über zwanzig Sprachen übersetzt. Vor allem seine auch auf Deutsch viel gelesene Artus-Trilogie machte ihn weltberühmt. Er ist Mitglied der Royal Society of Literature und Träger zahlreicher Auszeichnungen, u. a. gewann er die begehrte Carnegie Medal und den Smarties Prize.
