Katia Canciani: She Soars, Gebunden

Klappentext

Based on the true story of Maryse Carmichael, the first female pilot to join the iconic Canadian Snowbirds aerobatic flying team, and written by fellow aviator and friend, Katia Canciani.

Young Maryse dreams of becoming a pilot with the Snowbirds from the moment she watches them perform thrilling loops and hearts at an airshow. She sees the planes fly so close together it looks like their wings are touching and tells her family, "I want to be in that team." Her older brothers might have laughed at the thought, but Maryse learns and studies, and when she is old enough she joins the air cadets. Soon Maryse becomes a skilled pilot and flight instructor, but her path isn't always easy. Luckily she doesn't give up. She believes in herself, perseveres and eventually flies with the Snowbirds!
