James Dawson wuchs im englischen West Yorkshire auf und hat sich schon als Kind Folgen für die britische Kultserie Doctor Who ausgedacht und aufgeschrieben. Er wurde Journalist und interviewte Popstars wie Steps und Atomic Kitten. James Dawson arbeitete als Lehrer. Mittlerweile ist er selbstständiger Autor und lebt in London.
