Biografie
Gideon Rachman, Jg. 1963, studierte Geschichte in Cambridge. Seine journalistische Karriere begann er beim BBC World Service. Es folgten 15 Jahre beim internationalen Magazin The Economist, für das er aus Washington, Bangkok und Brüssel berichtete. 2006 wechselte er als außenpolitischer Chefkolumnist zur Financial Times. Das Schreiben liegt in der Familie: Sein jüngerer Bruder Tom Rachman feierte zuletzt mit dem Zeitungsroman 'Die Unperferkten' international und auch in Deutschland einen Überraschungserfolg.
