Biografie (Gianni Rodari)

Gianni Rodari, geboren 1920 in Omegna (Novara), war Grundschullehrer und Journalist, bevor er sich endgültig für den Beruf des Kinderbuchautors entschied. 1970 erhielt er für sein Werk den Hans-Christian-Andersen-Preis, den wichtigsten internationalen Kinder- und Jugenbuch-Literaturpreis. Rodari, der als der Klassiker der modernen italienischen Kinderliteratur gilt, starb 1980 in Rom.

Biografie (Jack Zipes)

Jack Zipes is the translator of The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm (Bantam), the editor of The Great Fairy Tale Tradition (Norton), and the author of Grimm Legacies (Princeton), among many other books. He is professor emeritus of German and comparative literature at the University of Minnesota.
