Biography (Hansjörg Herr)

Prof. Dr. Hansjörg Herr, geb. 1956, startete seine Karriere als gelernter Koch und arbeitete auch einige Jahre als Schiffskoch auf den Weltmeeren. Über den zweiten Bildungsweg kam er zur Wirtschaftswissenschaft und promovierte und habilitierte an der Freien Universität Berlin. Seit 1994 ist er Professor für Volkswirtschaftslehre für Supranationale Integration an der Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht in Berlin. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Finanzmärkte, insbesondere mit Blick auf die Analyse von Weltwährungssystemen. Während er immer noch gerne kocht, konzentriert sich seine Arbeit auf die globale Wirtschaft und die Arbeit mit den Studierenden.§
