Biography (Georg Northoff)
Prof. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Georg Northoff studierte Medizin und Philosophie in Hamburg, Essen, Bochum und New York. Er war Professor für Neuropsychiatrie und Neurophilosophie und Direktor des Labors für Bildgebung und Neurophilosophie an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.§Seit Mitte 2009 hat er einen eigens für ihn geschaffenen Lehrstuhl für Geist, Gehirn und Neuroethik an der Universität in Ottawa, Kanada, inne. Ziel Georg Northoffs ist es, die Neurophilosophie diesseits von Philosophie und Hirnforschung als eigenständige Disziplin zu etablieren.
