Klappentext
THE LITTLE RED BOOK IS A FANTASY NOVEL ABOUT WRITING A NOVEL, HIGHLIGHTING THE PASSIONS, LUSTS AND DESIRES OF ITS CAST OF CHARACTERS.
The Gramophone Club members are music lovers who wish to share their particular music enthusiasms with fellow members. The membership is a mix of established married couples and singles of both genders. They meet once a fortnight and members take it in turns to host an evening at their residence. But the well established club almost collapses when member's marriages hit a brick wall, with mid-life crisis's emerging through unexpected sexual desires and secret passions.
A new member of the group, Alex Sutton, a quiet self-contained bachelor, decides to write a novel loosely based on Mozart's three famous operas with texts by the libertine poet and friend of the notorious Casanova, Lorenzo Da Ponte. Having set his novel in the 1960s and 1970s Alex mirrors Da Ponte in a 'no holds barred' salacious behaviour narrative.
Following the publication of Alex's novel, actual events take a surprising twist, leading to 'hair-raising' revelations, when fiction becomes reality.
