Colleen Nelson: The Way I See It, Gebunden

Klappentext

This illustrated nonfiction book introduces middle-grade readers to different worldviews and explores how their experiences, the people they meet and the places they go impact their perspective of the world.

From friends and family to politics, culture and religion, all aspects of ourselves and society are shaped by how we make sense of the world. In The Way I See It, young readers are introduced to the four types of worldviews and are encouraged to critically examine their own and how it influences their opinions, decisions and values. With examples of different ideologies from powerful voices like Chimamanda Adichie, Nicolaus Copernicus, Elder Albert Marshall and even Taylor Swift, young readers will discover how every new experience, scientific discovery or ring of influence can challenge and change their perspective. And while there is no one right way to view the world, being open to learning from others with different beliefs is how we grow.
