Klappentext
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Bnot Ya'akov Bridge (Hebrew: ,Gesher Bnot Ya'akov; Arabic: , Jisr Banât Ya'qb, lit. Crossing of Jacob's Daughters) is a bridge across the Jordan River on Highway 91 in northern Israel. The area around the bridge was settled in antiquity, and a river crossing there, known as Jacob's Ford, served as part of the regional route between central Israel and Syria, along the ancient Via Maris. Archaeological remains at the site analyzed by archaeologists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Germany and the United States, found that Lower Paleolithic ancestors living on the lake shore produced stone tools, butchered animals, gathered plant food and controlled fire as early as 790, 000 years ago.
