Benita Schweizer: My Calm Umbrella!, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Milo loves school, but on some days someone is mean to him, not by accident, on purpose, over and over. That has a name. This book gives children working tools rather than platitudes: stand tall and breathe under the Calm Umbrella, say it once, clear and firm ("Stop. I don't like that."), then walk away towards other people. It draws the distinction that unlocks reporting for children, tattling tries to get someone into trouble, telling tries to get someone out of hurt and insists that adults must keep helping until it stops. Half the book trains the bystander: don't laugh along, stand beside them, say "Come with us!", or fetch an adult fast. An honest page asks whether the reader has been the mean one, and frames apologising as strength. The guide for parents and teachers covers signs, what to do when your child is bullied and when your child has bullied, and why hitting back backfires.
