Anthony Horowitz, geb. 1956 in Stanmore (England), ist einer der erfolgreichsten Autoren Englands. In Deutschland ist er vor allem für seine Jugendbücher um den Helden Alex Rider bekannt. Neben zahlreichen Büchern hat er Theaterstücke und Drehbücher (u. a. Inspector Barnaby ) geschrieben.
