Jimi Hendrix geb. am 27.11.1942 als James Marshall Hendrix in Seattle, Washington, gilt als bedeutendster Gitarrist der Rockgeschichte, seine Auftritte beim Monterey Pop Festival, dem Woodstock-Festival und dem Isle of Wight Festival gelten als Sternstunden der Musikhistorie. Am 18. September 1970 starb er im Alter von 27 Jahren in London.
