A captivating excursion into our world and its mysteries - with easy to understand scientific explanations

British non-fiction author and world renowned scientist Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist who has also established an outstanding reputation as a science communicator. This book is written in a very understandable way and is richly illustrated (but often a bit questionable and too lavish for my opinion). Both young people and interested adults (of all ages) will find answers to questions in chapters that can be seen in the reading sample above. Each chapter begins with mythological or cultural explanations and then contrasts these with currently accepted scientific findings. But superstitious contemporaries, avowed esoteric, science skeptics and bible faithful may have their reservations here. My conclusion remains: A recommendable work for everyone who has not yet forgotten the wonder and magic of the reality and complexity of our world...or would like to learn this again!
