Biografie
Pat Barker wurde 1943 in Thornaby-on-Tees geboren. Sie stammt aus einer Arbeiterfamilie, studierte an der London School of Economics und unterrichtete Geschichte und Politik. Für den Roman "The Ghost Road", den letzten Band der "Regeneration"-Trilogie, erhielt sie 1995 den Booker Prize. 2001 wurde er mit dem "Welt"-Literaturpreis ausgezeichnet.
