Jean Baudrillard, geboren 1929 in Reims, war von 1968 bis 1987 Professor für Soziologie an der Universität Paris-Nanterre. Auszeichnung: 1995 mit dem Siemens-Medienkunstpreis. Derzeit Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Philosophie der Kultur- und Medienkritik an der European Graduate School in Saas Fee. Buchveröffentlichungen. Der Autor lebt in Paris.
