Biography
David Morrell, geb. am 24.4.1943 in Ontario, Kanada, studierte an der University of Pennsylvania amerikanische Literatur und Englisch und lehrte ab 1970 sechzehn Jahre lang an der University of Iowa. Heute gehört er zu den populärsten und erfolgreichsten Thrillerautoren der USA. Sechsmal kam er in die Bestsellerliste der New York Times; seine Bücher wurden in mehr als zwanzig Sprachen übersetzt. Auch der Film nahm sich seiner Werke an: Eine so erfolgreiche Figur wie Rambo stammt aus seiner Feder. Die Filmrechte für 'Der Blick des Adlers' wurden für eine siebenstellige Summe an die Produktionsfirma von Michael Douglas verkauft. David Morrell lebt in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
