Biografie
Cecil Scott Forester wurde 1899 in Kairo geboren und studierte in England Medizin. Bald wandte er sich der Literatur zu und schuf den Zyklus seiner Seeabenteuerromane um Horatio Hornblower. Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges ging Forester nach Hollywood, wo er 1966 starb.
