Biografie (Alice Cooper)
Alice Cooper, geboren 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, als Vincent Damon Furnier, gilt als einer der Wegbereiter des Schockrock. Er polarisierte die Gesellschaft durch provokante Liedtexte und durch Auftritte mit viel Make-Up und gigantischen Bühnenshows. Besonders durch provozierende und aufwändige Inszenierungen auf der Bühne, deren Höhepunkt oft die gespielte Exekution des Sängers war, wurde Alice Cooper bekannt. Zahlreiche Musiker und Bands (Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Lordi, u.a.) wurden maßgeblich durch Coopers Musik und seine Show beeinflusst. Für seine finanzielle Unterstützung bekam Cooper von der Grand Canyon University in Phoenix (Arizona) den Ehrendoktortitel "Doctor of Music" verliehen. Heute tourt Alice Cooper mit seiner Band immer noch durch die Welt, bestreitet fast 80 Gigs pro Jahr und sieht zu, wie seine Fans jünger werden. Aber die meiste Zeit ist Alice auf dem Golfplatz. Mit seiner Leidenschaft für das Golfspiel war er Vorreiter für einen Trend, der inzwischen die jungen Leute erfasst hat, ganz zu schweigen von den Stars der heutigen Musik- und Filmszene wie z.B.
