Terry Hall ist der Sänger der Bands The Specials, Fun Boy Three und The Colourfield. 1979 wurde er in Großbritanien mit seinen Hits A Message To You Rudy und Too Much Too Young berühmt.
Ab diesem Zeitpunkt erarbeitete er sich eine treue Fanbase. Laugh ist sein zweites Soloalbum. Hall schrieb den Großteil der Songs selbst. Einige Stücke sind Kollaborationen mit Branchengrößen wie Damon Albarn (Blur/ Gorillaz) und Stephen Duffy (Duran Duran).
Diese Veröffentlichung macht Laugh erstmalig auf Vinyl verfügbar. Bei seinem ursprünglichen Release im Oktober 1994 stieg die Platte auf Platz 50 in die Charts ein. Die wichtigsten Singles waren Ballad of a Landlord und I Saw The Light.
