Mit Stephan Galfas im Hook And Manor Studio im englischen Berkshire aufgenommen, wurde Saxons neuntes Studioalbum »Destiny« am 20. Juni 1988 veröffentlicht. Es ist das einzige Album, auf dem sowohl die Rhythmusgruppe aus Nigel Durham (Drums) und Paul Johnson (Bass) als auch die langjährigen Mitglieder Biff Byford (Vocals), Graham Oliver (Gitarren) und Paul Quinn (Gitarren) vertreten sind.
Biff als Fan von Christopher Cross’ Songwriting hatte die Idee, seinen Song »Ride Like The Wind« zu covern, ihn in »Wheels Of Steel«-Manier zu überarbeiten und als Lead Single zu verwenden.
