Der Name der Band steht für »obvert« (sich widersetzen) und »hurt« (verwunden). Dieses Trio wurde 2020 mit Philippe Drouin (ex Unbreakable Hatred), Olivier Pinard (Cryptopsy, Cattle Decapitation) und Samuel Santiago gegründet. Nach einem schrecklichen Motorradunfall konnte Philippe nicht mehr Gitarre spielen und musste von Grund auf neu lernen, als Linkshänder zu spielen. Diese bemerkenswerte Erholung inspiriert den Titel und das lyrische Konzept des gesamten Albums.
