In den 80er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts war San Francisco Bay Area der Ausgangspunkt der neuen Revolution in der Metalszene und Heathen waren ein wichtiger Teil der Szene.
Nun veröffentlichen Heathen ihre 10-jährige Jubiläumsausgabe des Meilenstein-Albums »The Evolution Of Chaos«. Das Album wurde komplett neu gemastert und kommt als CD+DVD und als Doppel-Vinyl mit einem bisher unveröffentlichten Track »Seasons Of Purgatory«. Das Format CD+DVD wird von einer zweistündigen Making of-Dokumentation über das Album sowie einer Live-Performance aus Thrash Domination, Japan, 2009 begleitet.
Als das Album ursprünglich im Januar 2010 veröffentlicht wurde, war es das erste Album der Band mit neuem Material seit 18 Jahren, und Heathens Comeback hat der wieder auflebenden Thrash-Szene einen richtigen Push gegeben. Die Besetzung bestand aus Sänger David White, Gitarrist Lee Altus, Gitarrist Kragen Lum, Bassist Jon Torres und Percussionist Darren Minter. Das Album feat. Performances von einigen Mitgliedern von Exodus.
