Das Debütalbum von Norwegens bester Progrock-Band! Ursprünglich 2009 veröffentlicht, erscheint das nun schon länger vergriffene Album als Remaster (Jacob Holm-Lupo).

Alle drei frühen Demo- und EP-Veröffentlichungen waren über die Webseite der Band abrufbar, die bislang über 200.000 Downloads verzeichnet.

2008 wurde Airbag dann vom norwegischen Independent-Label Karisma Records unter Vertrag genommen, im April 2009 erschien ›Identity‹ zunächst in Norwegen kurz darauf außerhalb Norwegens.

Es folgten ›All Rights Removed‹, ›The Greatest Show On Earth‹, ›Disconnected‹ und im letzten Jahr ›A Day At The Beach‹. Zu den musikalischen Einflüssen zählt Airbag Progressive-Rock-Bands wie Pink Floyd und Porcupine Tree, aber auch Talk Talk oder A-Ha.

Das Onlinemagazin Babyblaue Seiten nannte die Band in einem Review zu ›Identity‹ ein »Download-Wunder« und ordnete sie stilistisch dem Artrock zu. Das Rock Hard klassifiziert die Musik als »elegischen Ambient-Prog« und vergleicht die Band mit Steven Wilsons Projekt Blackfield.

Airbag has created their own, unique sound with elements of classic and progressive rock, chill and jazz, influenced by artists from a wide range of genres, from Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree to Talk Talk, Radiohead and Marillion (Steve Hogarth era). The album comprises eight songs with Airbag’s unique sound of classic progressive rock blended with scenic soundscapes, epic guitars and soulful vocals. Classic Rock Magazine said: »prog at its most chilled, honeyed and soothing«.

»Identity« has been re-mastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo (White Willow, The Opium Cartel, + + +).

Airbag has managed to create a loyal fan base from all over the world, and their latest studio album »A Day at the Beach« has already been pressed in more than 13000 copies.
