The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Patricia Barbers »Modern Cool« brachte ihr den Erfolg im Mainstream, angetrieben von ihrer klassischen Version von »Light My Fire« von den Doors. Auf ihrer Tournee für dieses Album spielte Barber Auszüge daraus während eines vier Nächte dauernden Auftritts im Jazz Standard in New York. Dort wurde sie von Bruce Lundvall von Blue Note Records gehört, was zu einer Reihe von populären Barber-Aufnahmen für Premonition und Blue Note, weltweiten Tourneen und dem unverblümten Beifall der Kritiker führte, auf dem Barber sich nie ausruhte.

Durch Jim Andersons atemberaubend detailreiche, naturalistische Aufnahme wurde es schnell zu einem audiophilen Klassiker.
