Der Trompeter Blue Mitchell hatte einen gefühlvollen, swingenden Stil und war in Jazz-, R&B- und Funkkonzerten gleichermaßen zu Hause. Bei dieser Aufnahme von 1965 spielten seine Horace Silver Bandkollegen Junior Cook am Tenorsaxophon und Gene Taylor am Bass zusammen mit dem 24-jährigen Chick Corea am Klavier und dem 22-jährigen Al Foster am Schlagzeug.
