Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Ein frischer Wind weht über das Ural-Opernballett mit dieser neuen Version von Paquita, die auf halbem Weg zwischen Tradition und Moderne liegt! Das festliche Ballett Paquita, das von der vereitelten Liebe zwischen einer Zigeunerin und einem Offizier erzählt, war das Debüt von Marius Petipa in Sankt Petersburg. Doch nur die letzte Szene des Balletts, der berühmte Grand pas Classique, blieb im Repertoire der Kompanien. Dank einer sorgfältigen Rekonstruktion lässt das Ural-Opernballett die ursprüngliche Fassung in drei Akten endlich wieder aufleben.
Die Choreografie ist das Ergebnis methodischer Recherchen des Experten Sergei Vikharev und des ehemaligen Ballettchefs Wjatscheslaw Samodurov, die Petipas Version von 1881 anhand von Notizen aus der Harvard-Theatersammlung akribisch rekonstruieren. Die Originalpartitur wurde von dem berühmten Petersburger Komponisten Yuri Krasavin neu arrangiert.
Die neue Produktion verwendet zwar das ursprüngliche Libretto des Balletts, transponiert es jedoch in der Zeit. Das Ergebnis ist eine Inszenierung von großer Aktualität, die das starke politische und soziale Substrat der ursprünglichen Handlung mit künstlerischen Referenzen aus dem 20. Jahrhundert illustriert. Ein starkes Theatererlebnis, das 2019 mit dem Sonderpreis der Jury, der »Goldenen Maske«, gekrönt wird.
