Am 12. Juni 2014 wird in der Arena de São Paulo mit der Partie Brasilien gegen Kroatien die 20. Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft eröffnet – das Turnier, für das sich 32 Länder qualifiziert haben, dauert einen Monat und endet am 13. Juli2014.
Bereits einen Monat vor dem WM-Start können Fußballfans die FIFA-Compilation „One Love, One Rhythm“ kaufen, die u. a. den offiziellen WM-Song mit dem Titel „We Are One (Ole Ola)“ enthält. Das Stück, das in einer Zusammenarbeit von US-Rapper Pitbull, Weltstar Jennifer Lopez und der brasilianischen Sängerin Claudia Leitte entstand, wird im Rahmen der Eröffnungsveranstaltung am 12. Juni live präsentiert.
Neben „We Are One (Ole Ola)“ enthält der Longplayer eine ganze Reihe weiterer Songs, darunter den durch einen weltweiten Fan-Contest der FIFA ermittelten SuperSong „Vida“, der vom Superstar Ricky Martin eingesungen wurde. Außerdem findet sich auf „One Love, One Rhythm“ der Coca Cola 2014 FIFA World Cup Campaign Song „The World Is Ours“ von David Correy und Aloe Blacc und die offizielle 2014 FIFA World Cup-Hymne „Dar Um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)“, die in der spektakulären Kombination Santana & Wyclef ft. Avicii & Alexandre Pires entstanden war.
