Fuzzy Duck: Fuzzy Duck (Limited Edition)
‘Fuzzy Duck’ is a drinking game. It is also the name chosen by the band as an ‘in-joke’, and became the title of this 1971 debut album. As one of the progressive era’s most sought after artefacts, it gives us a fascinating glimpse back to a time when rock music was evolving at a furious rate. Fuzzy Duck has been compared to groups like Wishbone Ash, Camel and Atomic Rooster. The Fuzzies formed in North London in 1970 and signed to Decca offshoot label MAM, but only 500 copies of their LP were pressed. This CD edition has the original eight LP tracks, including ‘A Word From Big D’, an entertaining performance from Roy Sharland offering his humorous ‘ducking’ vocals. Among four bonus items are the A and B-sides of two singles that featured top guitarist Garth Watt-Roy.
