Grandios! Ermonela Jaho, Charles Castronovo und Placído Domingo in Spitzeninszenierung aus London
»La traviata«, basiert auf dem Roman und Theaterstück »Die Kameliendame« von Alexandre Dumas. Inspiriert wurde dessen Arbeit wiederum vom realen Leben der Pariser Kurtisane Marie Duplessis. Die Oper erzählt die zutiefst bewegende Geschichte einer Kurtisane, die bereit ist, alles für die Liebe aufzuopfern. Sie enthält einige der schönsten Arien und Duette Verdis und gehört wohl zu den bedeutendsten Opern überhaupt. Ermonela Jaho brilliert in der Titelrolle als Violetta Valéry und belegt ihr phänomenales Talent. Neben ihr Charles Castronovo als ihr Geliebter Alfredo und Plácido Domingo als Alfredos sittenstrenger Vater Giorgio Germont in dieser sehr erfolgreichen Produktion der Royal Opera.
