Unsere vielgepriesene SACD Edition mit Kompletteinspielungen des norddeutschen Orgelbarocks an historischen Orgeln enthält in Vol. 4 die überlieferten Gesamtwerke von insgesamt sechs mehr oder weniger bekannten Komponisten aus Norddeutschland. Friedhelm Flamme interpretiert diese – trotz der Unbekanntheit ihrer Schöpfer – erstaunlich fantasie- und erfindungsreichen Stücke auf der 1721 / 22 erbauten Orgel in »St. Cosmas und St. Damian« in Bockhorn, die heute das am besten erhaltene Instrument des Orgelbauers Christan Vater darstellt. Die charakteristischen Klangeigenschaften wie die teils raue Ansprache der Prinzipale und die hohe polyphone Qualität auch des Plenums werden durch die Resonanz mittels der großen Holzflächen des Kirchenraums veredelt. Vol. 5 of our much-acclaimed SACD edition with complete recording of North German Baroque music played on historical organs contains all surviving works of six more or less well-known composers from northern Germany. Friedhelm Flamme interprets these astonishingly imaginative and inventive - notwithstanding the obscurity of their creators – pieces on the organ of “St. Cosmas and St. Damian” in Bockhorn, built in 1721 / 22; this is today the best-preserved instrument by the organ builder Christian Vater. Its characteristic tonal properties such as the at times harsh sound of the principals and the high polyphonic quality of the plenum are mellowed by the resonance of the great wooden panels inside the church.
