Gute Unterhaltung

Im Barock fragte keiner nach Urheberrechten. Die Komponisten bedienten sich bei Kollegen, Musiker schrieben sich die Stücke zurecht - alles erlaubt. Albrecht Mayer will sein Publikum unterhalten. Warum nicht mit Händel-Arien, für die Oboe arrangiert, im Stile von Vivaldis Jahreszeiten. Eine tolle Idee. Dieses Mal hat er Kollegen Tarkmann als Arrangeur ins Boot geholt. Einen Mann, der selbst von der Oboe kommt. Im Booklet gibt Barockexperte Harnoncourt seinen Segen. Obwohl die Aufnahmen nicht den strengen Regeln der historisch informierten Praxis gerecht werden. Mehr geht nicht.
Das Ergebnis ist hörenswert und gefällt nicht nur Klassik-Fans. Mayers Oboe resp. Englischhorn singt, schluchzt, jubelt und weint, dass es eine Freude ist. Mit den Musikern der Sinfonia Varsovia hat er erneut die passenden Mitspieler gefunden.
Es ist Begleitmusik für fast alle Anlässe, auch zum Auto fahren - gute-Laune-Musik eben.

Einfach nur wunderschön !

Ich liebe (barocke) Oboenmusik und habe schon eine ganze Reihe verschiedenster Aufnahmen; darunter auch ein paar von A. Mayer.
Bislang zählte er nun nicht unbedingt zu meinen Lieblingsinterpreten, aber diese Einspielung ist wirklich toll.
Sowohl die Arrangements an sich sowie die jeweils gewählte Instrumentierung als auch die Interpretation und die gefühlvolle Spielweise aller Beteiligten haben diese CD zu meiner eigenen Verblüffung zu meiner derzeitigen 2. Lieblings-CD werden lassen.
Auch die DVD dazu ist übrigens sehenswert und interessant.
