The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

FonoForum 10/10: "Es beginnt dunkel mit einem vom Ensemble Modern unter Rupert Huber fein inszenierten Bläsersatz, in den sich Streicher in leichten Dissonanzen einfügen. Dieses Geheimnisvolle, dieses In-der-Schwebe halten, wird bleiben. Natürlich wäre Rihm nicht Rihm, wenn er nicht auch hier auf einen Höhepunkt zusteuerte. Mächtig greift die Orgel ein, zunehmend liefert der Perkussionist gerissene Störfeuer, gewinnen die Bläser an Schärfe. Das Leiden Christi, sein Kreuztod wird hier vertont und durch Rihms Musik noch einmal emotional gegenwärtig. Und das ist in unserer säkularisierten Welt nicht wenig."
