Entsprechend tief lotet er mir seinem ungemein differenziert und einfühlsam musizierenden Ensemble die Partitur aus. Veronique Gens ist eine absolut überzeugende, stimmlich virtuose Dido. Ebenbürtig steht ihr Nathan Berg mit seinem nuancenreichen Bassbariton als Aeneas zur Seite. Auch alle anderen Gesangspartien werden klangschön gestaltet. Die in sich sehr ausgewogene Aufnahme hinterlässt einen überaus erfreulichen Gesamteindruck."
