Youth protection is not only a legal issue for us. Together with our customers, we want to provide a controlled delivery of products, which may be sold only to persons over 18 years of age. The options described below allow us to control the fact that the purchaser is at least 18 years old.

DHL shipping with identity and age check

jpc offers to private customers (no business addresses or packing stations) to send sensitive items using a special DHL service called »Ident-Check« within Germany. Please regard the following notes:

Personal delivery: The shipped items will only be handed over to the given recipient personally. The recipient's identity and age will be checked and the personal details will be documented. A valid ID (identity card) is required. A driving license can not be accepted. Fetching the package at your local post office is possible, in case you are not at home (notice will be provided).

Exact spelling of the name: Please make sure to spell your name exactly as it is spelled in your ID. We need all first names, the full last name, titles (Dr., Prof., etc.) and your date of birth. Even minor differences will prevent the handing over to the reciepient. The following examples may illustrate this:

DHL shipping with Visual Age Check

jpc offers private customers (no business addresses or packing stations) to send sensitive items using a special DHL service called »Visual Age Check« within Germany.

Using the Visual Age Check, delivery is made either to the specified adult recipient in person or to persons in the recipient's household, provided they are of legal age. If it is not clear to the delivery person that the recipient is of legal age, an ID-based age check will be carried out on the recipient or household member who accepts the shipment. You can pick up your item at your local post office if you are not at home when it is delivered (you will be notified).

Order process: If you have added an item to your shopping cart that is not approved for minors, you must select either delivery with »identity and age check« or »Visual Age Check« during the ordering process on the “Overview” page. We also ask you to confirm that you are of legal age by entering your date of birth.

Shipping within Germany only: The delivery of items that are prohibited for minors (below 18) is only possible within Germany.

Different shipping address: Delivery to an address other than your home address is not possible.

If delivery is not possible due to a problem with the name or age verification, the item will be returned to us. In this case the invoice total including shipping will be refunded.

These costs are independent of the order value and are charged in addition to the shipping costs of €2.99 that may apply. The costs for the delivery of items not approved for minors are shown separately in the shopping cart and are payable to us together with the invoice amount.
