With the end of the Normandy campaign, the war between the Spire-holding powers has settled into a conflict mainly between the Papal States and the Empire. While the Pontiff is off handling internal affairs, Luca is given command of his own personal guard, the Star Regiment. Luca and his companions are then assigned to look into sightings of strange Branched in nearby towns. The investigation will introduce Luca to the true rulers of the world, and the sinister truth at the heart of the Spires...
