Biografie (Laura Restrepo)
Laura Restrepo wurde 1950 in Kolumbien geboren. Ihre berufliche Laufbahn begann sie als Literaturdozentin an der Universität von Bogota. Sie arbeitete für verschiedene Menschenrechtsorganisationen und mußte aufgrund ihres politischen Engagements für mehrere Jahre das Land verlassen. Später arbeitete sie als Journalistin und schrieb Sachbücher und Romane. Die Kenntnisse, die Laura Restrepo während ihrer journalistischen Tätigkeit über die Drogenmafia erwarb, führten 1993 zu ihrem Roman "Der Leopard in der Sonne".Biografie (Carolina De Robertis)
Carolina De Robertis wurde 1975 geboren. Sie wuchs in England, der Schweiz und Kalifornien auf. Ihre Eltern stammen aus Uruguay. Die Autorin lebt in Oakland, Kalifornien, wo sie als Autorin und als Übersetzerin arbeitet.
