Isa Bela: The Adventures of Izzy, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

The Adventures of a South Carolinian Izzy Bear is a lighthearted, humorous photo book celebrating a beloved dog named Izzy Bear and her everyday antics. The book opens with a playful fake-out - introducing a peacock and a friend named Lindsay before revealing the true star: Izzy.

Through a series of captioned photos, the book showcases Izzy's quirky personality - her impressively long tongue (roughly 1 / 5 the length of the Folly Pier), her luxuriously "floofy" tail blowing in the wind, and her hilariously relatable moments like not being able to hear someone and just laughing along. Readers also meet her cousin, Benjamin Bear, who lives in Wyoming.

The humor deepens as Izzy's Ancestry. com results reveal she's 2.6% lizard and 74.6% "beach piggy." The book captures her beach adventures, boat taxi pickups, tonsil checks, hot-dog-like angles, and the eternal struggle of being left behind when brunch spots don't allow dogs - until she finally scores a brunch invite on a boat. Throughout, the narrator lovingly insists she is not a crazy dog lady ("you are"), while Izzy judges everyone through the computer screen. It's a sweet, funny tribute to life with an unforgettable pup.
