Ethan Suplee: Glutton: My Anti-Diet Journey to Finding Self-Esteem and Healthy Weight Loss, Gebunden

Klappentext

Actor and host of the popular American Glutton podcast Ethan Suplee explores his own decades of struggle with extreme weight gain and loss and exposes the diet industry's cycle of misery and shame.

Ethan Suplee has been on every diet you've never heard of. An egg and wine diet. An unlimited cabbage soup diet. A cookie diet - if flavorless diet discs can be called "cookies." A Beverly Hills diet of pineapple, pineapple, and yet more pineapple. Unsurprisingly, none of these were miracle solutions for weight loss and he spent decades of his life going back and forth to take off (and inevitably put back on) the weight. At his heaviest, Ethan weighed over 500 pounds. Trapped in an acting persona that relied on his obesity, he was constantly torn between professional success and personal well being. Then, something clicked. Several years ago, Ethan ditched the yo yo dieting, and the physical transformation that he made - and sustained - is remarkable.

GLUTTON is an inspirational memoir about weight loss and gain in the public eye. Ethan will takes readers along his journey, providing insights on finding self esteem and sustainable weight loss. Drawing from the conversations he's had with everyone from Joe Rogan to doctors, professional athletes, and everyday humans on his American Glutton podcast, this book uses one man's fortification of mind, body, and spirit to inspire readers to take control over their own narratives, so they never, ever, under any circumstances, start considering a tapeworm diet.
