Biografie (Bernhard Schlink)
Bernhard Schlink, geboren 1944 in Bielefeld, aufgewachsen in Heidelberg. Jurastudium dort und in Berlin, danach wissenschaftlicher Assistent. Erste Professur für VerfR und VerwR in Bonn, dann in Frankfurt. 1988 Richter des VerfGH für das Land NRW. Nach der Wende 1989 in Berlin tätig. Heute Professor für öffentliches Recht und Rechtsphilosophie an der Humboldt-Universität in Berlin und Richter am LVerfGH in Münster. Zunächst Fachbuch-, dann Romanveröffentlichungen. Auszeichnungen: 1989 Glauser Autorenpreis für deutschsprachige Kriminalliteratur ("Die gordische Schleife"), 1992 Deutscher Krimi-Preis ("Selbs Betrug"), 1997 Hans-Fallada-Preis der Stadt Münster, Italiens 'Grinzane Cavour' und Prix Laure Bataillon ("Der Vorleser"). 1999 erstmals den "Welt"-Literaturpreis, im Februar 2000 die Ehrengabe der Düsseldorfer Heinrich-Heine-Gesellschaft.
