VOL. 1: "WORLD WAR II - D-DAY"
After having joined World War II American and British governments prepared the biggest naval invasion in the history of war. the disembarkation of the allied forces on D-day in the French Normady is one of the most important moments of the Second World War. It meant the beginning of the end to the NAZI Reich. However, not only the successful landing of the troops was important, but also the troops' efficient invasion and advance into a then occupied France.
- The allies get ready for D-Day and when the big day has come, the invasion begins.
- 6th of June, 1944: D-Day, the allies debark in the Normandy. The greatest invasion of history has begun.
- Allied troops march further into France.
Laufzeit: 57 Minuten
VOL. 2: "WORLD WAR II - AIR FORCE BATTLES"
One of the most important items towards the end of World War II were the airborne forces of the opponents. Although the Nazis were the masters of the skies at the beginning of the war of conquest, they had to suffer a first and severe defeat due to the air battle of England. In the course of the war the allied forces could claim the sovereignty over the airspace - especially by the cooperatin of the American and English airforces - and thus accelerate the end of the war.
- 1940 to 1941: Aerial Warfare about great Britain - for the first time the Germans didn't succeed in occupying another country
- The allies change their tactics - nightly air attacks are much more effective against the German Air Force
- Through heavy air battles the Royal Air Force and the American Air Force slowly get the upper hand against the Germans
- Spring 1942: The allies win the battle of Malta
Laufzeit: 88 Minuten
VOL. 3: "WORLD WAR II - THE FALL OF JAPAN 1"
Joining the war Japan proceeded their war of conquest throughout the Pacific nearly unhamperedly until 1941. However, the frivolous attack of Pearl Harbour and the immediate entry of the Americans into the war heralded their slow but irresistible downfall. Even initial successes of the Japanese forces like the conquest of Singapore were quickly undone by the achievements of the allies like the Burman victory by Australian troops.
- 1941: Unexpectedly the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor. America wants to take revenge
- February 1942: Singapore surrenders to Japan
- September 1942: In Burma the allies defeat the Japanese infantry for the first time
Laufzeit: 57 Minuten
VOL. 4: "WORLD WAR II - THE FALL OF JAPAN 2"
From the battle of Midway in 1942 to the American revenge of Manila in 1944 / 45 the allied forces won nearly every important naval battle in-between and made slow progress in conquering lands. One of the most import moments was the air strike at Tokyo which almost destroyed the hole city. However, the war finally ended by Japan's capitulation after the launch of the two atomic bombs into Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
- 1942: Turning point of the Pacific War - America wins the battle of Midway against Japan
- 1944 to 1945: On the Philippines the American troops fight their way through to Manila
- 1945: Tokyo is razed to the ground. In order to avoid Japanese act of reprisal, America drops two atomic bombs onto Japan which, then, capitulates. The Pacific War is over.
Laufzeit: 58 Minuten
VOL. 5: "WORLD WAR II - VICTORIA IN NORTH AFRICA"
During the first years of war the Nazis were considerably successful in North Africa. However, the tide turned when the British, American and French troops combined their forces after American had joined the war. Therefore, the German troops were driven out of Africa by every other battle they lost from 1942 to the final crucial fight in Tunis.
- The allies intend to launch a naval attack at the Germans from three sides.
- 1942: In North Africa American troops participate in the warfare for the first time - 250, 000 German and Italian soldiers are captured. Having overpowered the Germans the sea routes are free to attack Germany.
- In the beginning, the Germans are able to ward the allies' aggresses off. However, they are eventually pushed back to the coast until they are completely beaten.
Laufzeit: 64 Minuten
