Several stellar performances see their first issue, and many are reissued on CD for the first time. Slim's songbook was full of country standards, pop classics and traditional ballads, and he gave them all his unique imprint. In total, there are 163 recordings from the groundbreaking sides cut in Shreveport in the early Fifties through to the smoother, Nashville sessions later in the decade.
