Camouflage sind eine der wenigen deutschen Bands, die im In- und vor allem im Ausland seit Mitte der 80er-Jahre erfolgreich Musik macht. Mit »The Great Commandment« (1987) und »Love Is A Shield« (1989) landete das Trio weltweite Hits. Nach dem vierten Album begann für Camouflage die Zeit des Experimentierens. Den Höhepunkt dieser Phase bildet das Album »Spice Crackers« aus dem Jahr 1995 – das Mutigste und Interessanteste, was Camouflage je gemacht haben.

Neben einigen Elektropop-Stücken finden sich darauf hypnotische, sphärische, motorische Tracks, die bereits andeuten, wie es dann auf der Bonus-CD weitergeht. Die nämlich enthält 14 Songs mit größtenteils unveröffentlichtem Material: wahre Perlen instrumentaler elektronischer Musik der 90er-Jahre (Dub-Techno, Downbeat, Electronica, Intelligent Dance Music, Ambient) gepaart mit Reminiszenzen an die goldene Zeit der deutschen Elektronik, die 70er.
