Rainbow Electronics is a studio album by the Japanese noise musician, Merzbow. The album is a single long track made from editing 21 hours worth of fragments from taped Merzbow performances and works. On 1996, Merzbow released a remix of this album called, Rainbow Electronics 2. Merzbow is the main recording name of Japanese noise musician Masami Akita. Since 1979 he has released in excess of 300 recordings on numerous independent record labels.
