About the film
Willkommen in den 80ern: Nachdem seine geplante Europareise geplatzt ist, nimmt College-Absolvent James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) nur widerwillig einen Ferienjob im lokalen Vergnügungspark Adventureland an. Sein anfängliches Desinteresse an dem trostlosen Job wandelt sich jedoch schlagartig, als er Kollegin Em (Kristen Stewart) kennen lernt und sich in sie verliebt. Schon bald stellt James fest, dass die Arbeit im Park ihn optimal auf das wahre Leben vorbereitet und er erlebt den besten Sommer seines Lebens…
