Die Titelmelodie des ersten Teils "Gonna Fly Now" von Bill Conti zieht sich als Grundthema durch sämtliche Rocky Teile und steht auf der gleichen Bekanntheitsstufe mit den Titelthemes von Star Wars oder James Bond, "Eye Of The Tiger" und "Burning Heart" von Survivor gehören auch heute noch zum Standardprogramm eins jeden Radiosenders und "Living In America" ist nach wie vor einer der größten Hits von James Brown.
Neben weiteren Hits beinhaltet die CD die schönsten und bekanntesten Score Titel welche alle von Bill Conti komponiert wurden. Der Filmfan dürfte an diesem Soundtrack Highlight genauso wenig vorbeikommen wie an dem am 08.02. startenden Kino Film "Rocky Balboa"!
