Die Post Rocker If These Trees Could Talk aus Akron in Ohio gründeten sich 2005 und haben seitdem eine beachtliche Entwicklung durchgemacht. Ihre erste EP erschien 2006, das Debütalbum »Above the Earth, Below the Sky« 2009. Diese Werke markierten die Grundlage für den 2012er Durchbruch »Red Forest«. Das zweite Album erschien ebenfalls als Independent-Release im März 2012.
Im Lauf des Jahres 2014 If These Trees Could Talk nahmen die Musiker ihr drittes Album in Angriff. Zu der Zeit erhielt sie ein Angebot von Metal Blade Records und ließ sich dort unter Vertrag nehmen. Ihr unabhängiger und völlig eigenständig motiviert Ansatz bezüglich Musik und Kunst wird sich jedoch nicht ändern.
